Livability was a top priority along with staying true to the original Spanish aesthetic already featured in the architecture of the home. In keeping with the Spanish design, we added some modern luxuries, balanced the soft arches with clean lines, incorporated earthy textures, and created a comfortable, lived-in feel to this beautiful home.
the design
The exterior of the home already featured stunning Spanish architecture, so we knew there wasn’t a whole lot we wanted to update there. We changed the exterior paint color, but kept most of the remaining details as they were. The inside of the home was where most of the updates took place. There were some beautiful design elements such as the windows and beams that we knew we wanted to keep so we really took a close look at the authentic, Spanish-style details that needed to stay and then updated the rest.
